| 23 Nov 2009 by Norma I told everyone I was tapering Paxil. I am the one who diagnosed paxil withdrawal and got a prescription for 30mg. (Originally on 40, dropped to 20 within a couple of months). Felt better within days. I stayed at 30mg for 2 months, then 27 for 2 months and now I am at 24.3mg. ... | 9 Nov 2009 by Gero I was on lexapro for 3 years. I came off lexapro and it was painful but nothing compared to the benzo. Only take benzos after all other drugs have been tried and exhausted. Benzo withdrawal is a walk thru hell and I am not kidding. SSRI's bad. .... It took my 1 year to slowly taper and then I had withdrawals for about a year longer.
