| 26 Oct 2007 by Paul Ramsbottom Using the mpg4 rather than mpg2 wrapper - isn't Sony getting more data stored effectively. In other words 35MB in mpeg2 < 35MB in mpeg4 right? Using mpeg 4 might be equivalent to say 50MB mpeg 2 - assuming it is twice as efficient as many claim. Is this correct? Otherwise, why use mpeg 4 and not stick to mpeg 2? ... | 3 Apr 2007 by Henning The directory must be called VIDEO under the root of your memory stick. BTW, if you download updates for the PS3 to a memory stick it has to be in /PS3/UPDATE folder. | 18 Nov 2007 by recrisp I also upgraded from my now relocated HD10-250 to an HR-21 without OTA but I now get my locals via satellite in MPG4 which were unavailable to the HD10-250. What I did lose was my PBS channel in HD (big issue) and the CW network in HD ..... The installer did not bother to stick around to check the new channels, so I called dtv and they are sending a new box. It sounds like the problem may be the diplexing of the ota line which is blocking the hd channels.. any thoughts? ...
