However, those recent movies are prequels to that first ever movie, so in the franchise's timeline, I guess it makes sense. Anyway, I saw this first ever movie once ... DVD Top 10. 1. Star Trek 2. | 20 Nov 2009 Well I remember 'Episode IV: A New Hope' as the titling to the scrolling bit from my first viewing in '77 ... but then my mind has started letting me down on significant issues in the last few years, so I'm not putting too much reliance on it. ... But I am positive that it was NOT on screen in 1977 (I went 4 times that summer!), and it isn't on the original version in the dvd. There are other OT characters that they didn't really cover in the prequel movies I'd like to see expanded on in the series. Governor Tarkin, for example. It's criminal he didn't get .... Most new fans don't even know that Lucas didn't insert Episode IV into Star Wars until the re-release in 1981! They all think it was called A New Hope, when it was simply Star Wars in 1977. ...
