I would be hesitant to point the finger at anyone in this case, and I'd express mild surprise at anyone that takes one side or another prematurely and without all the facts. ..... A sawn-off shotgun would qualify under that offence. This IS a strict liability offence, on the basis that Parliament has decided that possession of such a firearm is something that is absolutely to be prohibited. It carries a minimum sentence of 5 ...
