| 10 hours ago by LOUDspeaker On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) I have no idea how people can rate this so highly. A tiresome overlong film with a good ski chase scene. The film just doesn't work for me. And it feels badly made technically. Diamonds Are Forever ( 1971) ... A generic action movie with Bond in the lead role. I actually think he held up pretty well under the unenviable task of stepping into Sean Connery's shoes as Bond. .... *Sigh*, movie posters used to look so much better than they do nowadays. And I must say I think Lazenby was highly underrated. He was actually a really good Bond! Hope you're having an amazing weekend :) ... Though I was thrilled by the car chases and fights ... I know "Diamonds Are Forever" isn't rated very highly by aficionados but I regard it as my first "proper" Bond movie experience so it had a big impact on me and I still love it today.
