Be Afraid of BitTorrent, Very, Very Afraid | TorrentFreak
6 Jun 2008 by enigmax
Far from being scared into leaving BitTorrent, all this uncertainty means that i'm too scared to even install 'setup.exe' due to what might be inside it – an instinct I acquired in my days as a LimeWire/KaZaA user. ...

LiveLeak caves to death threats, removes Fitna - Jihad Watch
28 Mar 2008 by Robert
The BitTorrent links are a great way to download it. No central server to take off the net, just a lot of citizens keeping it available. It's out. Home taping didn't kill music – Bad Science
5 Jun 2009 by Ben Goldacre
Music comes from people's hearts, and their natural instinct is to share the joy which has inspired them. To declare it as “intellectual property” and to make its sharing a crime is to dehumanise it. ... A recent example is the leak of the move 'Wolverine', which despite breaking records for torrent (download) figures did superb business on its opening weekend. It is reminiscent of Hollywood decrying piracy one week and then in the next breath posting record breaking ...

bit-tech.net | Manhunt 2 banned by BBFC
20 Jun 2007 by Brett Thomas
Bit-Torrent exists and people can get games that way. Maybe if parents would just stop b****ing about video games and pay some damn attention to what their kids do we wouldn't have to ban things. Even in the US I have not found a store ..... the playground in the 50s. if a kid is miswired to be evil and have the natural desire to kill, then he will. has nothing to do with what he is exposed to. you are talking about an instinct that is coded in them. no video game, movie, ...

21st Century Learning: What are We Doing to Our Kids?
31 Dec 2007 by snbeach
You can't kill the instinct the technology produces, you can only criminalize it. We cant make our kids passive again, we can only make them into pirates. We are forcing our kids to live life against the law. They know what they are doing is breaking the law ... The US Media went after Pirate Bay (a bit torrent file sharing site in Sweden) where it was breaking no Swedish laws by providing downloads of files, often copyrighted movies and music. The kids responded with two ...

After reading a bit more into Boxee I found that it watches a directory for torrent files , and when you place on there, ... My first instinct would be to setup a cron job to do this, which I did, because, well, that's how I roll :p But this got me thinking, how does TV Shows run every half hour without being a cron job? ...
