No idea if it supports all the formats you need these days ( Sorenson, MPG4, AVI for vi at least, and WAV, MP3 would be nice for audio). (After thought!! | 26 Aug 2009 by Milind Alvares Judging by the Windows screenshots I thought it would utterly fail on the Mac platform. Boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. I hereby pronounce Camtasia to be the current best screen capture application for the Mac. .... MPG4 or any of the other codec's are not as good as the Sorenson Video 3. I have spent many hours on Camtasia for Mac since purchasing it to try and get similar quality and file sizes to Snapz Pro X and I have not been able to achieve this. ... I've been using a laser-printing shop for several years to print calendars for xmas gifts for family and friends, ... I bring flawless MPG4 video into iDVD, burn it. The best part is the OTA signal provides a better picture and is about 3 seconds ahead of the sat feed. .... If Directv is taking the signal off air and compressing it from MPG2 to MPG4, that has to introduce some degradation. The over-the-air signal if you can get it, has to be better. Here is a good + powerful budget computer which is configured with AMD, I think that it would play crysis ..... This would make transcoding recorded TV shows to DVD, MPEG2, MPG4 ECT... alot faster than with my P4 3.4 Prescott. Should bump up the watts on the power supply for lots of hard drives and other upgrades. Hope everything gets along with ... | 15 Apr 2007 by Robert Scoble Same with Joost, which is getting to be very popular if my Twitter friends are a good judge of things. Same with Stage6.divx.com. No Adobe or Microsoft stuff in either of those. So, really both Microsoft and Adobe are losing ... I use MPG4 now because it has better cross-platform support and because most of my video friends are using it (Apple's FinalCutPro has sold 800000 copies).
