But, applications (NERO, etc) will not work from a shared drive. My SATA DVD RW is a LiteOn. .... | 23 Jun 2009 by bkimbrell I was able to plug a regular desktop SATA DVDRW drive into the motherboard and run the cable out of the back. I used an old power supply to power it up. It worked just fine. However, when I tried to use the onboard software RAID, ESXi was having none of that. ....
