Matt Chat 37: Bullfrog's Syndicate | Armchair Arcade
14 Nov 2009 by Matt Barton
The graphics look too "cutesy" and they seem to have lightened up on the evil bits. You can still shoot people and so on, but I got the impression that these versions were less objectionable from a moral sense. ..... I can't see it any other way. RTS games are pretty much a computer-based affair. I see no reason why an action-based strategy game ("RTAS?") could make it as a gamepad game. Syndicate is supposedly either close to having a new game or there is one in the ...

Windows 7 surprise: DivX built in
3 Nov 2008
If you'd have put divx and xvid in the Media Player codec library, this issue would be moot. WMP will download codecs it doesn't have, by going to MS and downloading it - however MS never allowed the formats everyone uses to be added to the ... Your Average Joe (Senior member): Quoting djsflynn: Matroska MKV, which is becoming the format of choice for high-def content such as HDTV recordings and Blu-ray rips. La La La ......... hear no evil, see no evil ......... ;-) ...

For example, I use Google Apps for my company's email, SugarSync to keep all my files in sync no matter where I am, & often use Google Docs for collaboration. .... Evil Taco - November 29th, 2009 at 5:33 pm PST. and I think you might be a bit behind on the netbook thing if you're not sure about them being internet connective. verizon's 3g network covers like 98% of america. ...

Ten Incredibly Annoying Video Game Sidekicks - Button Mash
28 Sep 2009 by Ben Gelinas
Knowing this, Konami cast Hal Emmerich, nicknamed Otacon, in the support position, talking to Snake over the codec radio in Metal Gear Solid. The Otacon nickname sounds kind of impressive, doesn't it? It's not. It's a reference to an anime/ manga/live action roleplay ... And it's a shame, because the world of Resident Evil really could use "no evil, mutant science corporation" legislature, but it'll never happen as long as this tool is around. 2- Dog Game: Duck Hunt ...

IEBlog : An Early Look At IE9 for Developers
18 Nov 2009 by ieblog
The only thing I hear about html 5 is the video tag that everyone cries about. That's clutter, because that thing is, as it stands now, a hack. No one seems to agree about the codecs. And that's not the only problem. ...... O RLY? And who, exactly, created those non-standard filters in the first place, ignoring other options? I believe they appeared in IE 6, right? Oh no, that was a totally different browser, right? IE9, Now 30% Less Evil! Trust Us! ...

Icrontic's ultimate HTPC – Holiday 2009 edition « Icrontic Tech
3 Nov 2009 by Brian Ambrozy
We can't lie: OCZ has been a great friend to Icrontic over the years, and we have no trouble recommending their memory for this project. It would be easy for us to say “no way, let's jock some other memory company” if OCZ would just… ..... I realize I'll probably still need the cable box, which I accept as a necessary evil. Has anyone built a setup that truly does everything? If so, what did you use and how well does it work? Also, is there a software solution to allow ...
