AT&T 2G voice quality could have been better if they use only AMR 12.2 codec. Using half rate codec to accomodate more users jeopardizes the quality. CDMA on other hand has better voice quality. However with 3G features such as CS Voice over HSPA (High Def voice) will improve the voice quality ...
