| 6 Dec 2009 On DVD, I saw The Lady Vanishes, which is probably Hitchcock's best British film (of the 7 or 8 that I've seen from his pre-Hollywood days). On BD, I saw Franklyn, which is mostly an interminable bore (and not at all SF). .... The other recent movie that came to mind was Death Proof, which obviously also owes a lot to older films like Vanishing Point.
