| 27 May 2006 I didn't execute the server. Being a Windows user I rebooted - the GUI took effect while shutting down. -- Now I have my "beautiful" brown desktop back. (Now where did I put the bright colored backgroun graphic I was using?) ... I had to go round testing a bunch of avi,mpg4,swf,,,, video files and wait again for all the codecs to be found and loaded. | 17 Jun 2008 by Dan Frommer Flash is not 'laden' with DRM, and Flash video has moved on to mpg4 already, you can't expect any better quality then that for awhile. In fact video loaded through the flash player probably makes up much more bandwidth these days then ads running through ... I guess I've just changed my mind. I think Flash would be nice to have on the iPhone -- and people should be able to turn it off, if they want -- but at this point I do think Adobe has more to lose here than Apple. ... So I guess it'll be possible in some capacity at some point! .... You need to keep in mind that the entire thing is never more than 3 levels deep. So it will never, under any circumstance, be more than 2 clicks to go forwards. And in many cases with the current scheme, unless the sub category you are aiming for happens to be open, ... | 7 Dec 2008 A look at the code would be best although I agree with Andy Dwelly that if the the storage size was significantly less than MPG4, etc. (and the calculation effort was small enough!) you might have an interesting and marketable compression algorithm ..... You just showed intelligent design. You had an end result that you compared your program to. So you had an ultimate goal in mind. You didn't really do it “randomly” though.
