Sometimes it's legitimately funny, and sometimes it's legitimately good as a pop musical - and if you've seen Rent .... I concur with an earlier poster in that it is reminiscent of the old movie musicals, or even variety shows that used to be on TV. I just assumed that they were trying to make the whole thing seem like a comic book as opposed to reality. ...
