| 30 Jan 2008 by Doug This is a native Rhodo with flower buds that are hardy to -40C. It is a small plant of only three-feet tall but it has very fragrant white or rose pink flowers that bloom in late May. This plant does not like the heat and will suffer more in this than .... We did not get to spray our rhodies with anti-desiccant last fall. This spring when we arrived home we found a clump of brown leaves on two of our rhodies. Guess What! Next fall we spray for sure! | 2 Jun 2006 by Caroline Brown Couple questions, are you sure they're flower buds and not leaf buds. Rhodies have both, in the winter they look the same but in the summer the flower buds swell up.
