I would also say put a new trans in the Accord. But, if you must get another vehicle, try for a Mazda 3, ... It'll get decent mileage on the Santa Fe – Ft Collins trip. I got about 28mpg on that exact same trip in my Legacy. (Just fill up south of Co Springs where the gas has less ethanol in it!). The wagons will hold a bunch of stuff. ...
